Wasn’t it a glorious weekend? Here in Thunder Bay where we are accustomed to rather chilly Thanksgiving days, it was unusually warm. People were dressed in shorts and tee shirts. It was a time to give thanks for the blessings we have living in this country where we enjoy so much freedom….and despite our brutal winters, there are no tornadoes or major floods, horrific fires or hurricanes.
A few weekends ago I was privileged to watch a parade which served to remind us of the sacrifice made by our police force. It was very touching to see citizens stand quietly out of respect for these men and women who are willing to serve and protect without thought for their own safety.
Yes…thankful hearts for those who keep us safe, for our families and friends and for those who support us as a rescue, fostering or sacrificially giving.
